ICT CLERK (Virtual Participation)

Local Staff Recruitment for UNFCCC Sessions in Bonn and Abroad

35 PLN gross / hour

Under the direct supervision of the IT Officer, the incumbent will be working in support of requests for virtual participation.

  • Work together with the UN IT Team to guide and provide information to delegates on IT related issues in regards to virtual participation.
  • Setup, test, provide support during session and monitor the session. In case of interruption he/she will re-establish the connection to avoid any delay in the meeting.
  • Ensure meetings rooms are kept tidy and provide general support equipment maintenance, as required; and
  • Perform other ICT duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

Ability to demonstrate considerable initiative and problem solving skills.

Fluency in English.  Working knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.

Technical Awareness
Proficient IT skills as well as hardware applications and equipment is essential.
Skills in virtual participation software would be an asset (Skype, Webex, Citrix Go etc)

Very good interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.
Be reliable, forthcoming and always remain friendly and courteous.

Working Hours
Work can be expected to involve shift work, or overtime work in excess of the normal working day, and may involve night and/or weekend work.
